Opened in 1924 by a local racehorse trainer, Alfred Day, Fontwell Park incorporated a traditional oval shaped hurdles track with a steeplechase track laid out in a figure of eight due to the limited amount of space which was available.
With just four days of racing in its first year the racecourse has seen its fixtures steadily increase over the years. We recently saw the opening of the new multi million pound Premier Grandstand.
The new three-storey facility, includes a glass fronted hospitality lounge and provides an exciting addition for both corporate and private visitors to Fontwell Park.
