Upon entering the racecourse they may perform random searches using a metal detector & bag searches. Please allow extra time on premium racedays as entering the course may take longer than usual. Please do not be offended if you are selected, they have a commitment to all of our guests to ensure the racecourse is a safe environment for everyone attending.
What is the dresscode at Leicester Racecourse?
Leicester Racecourse don’t enforce a strict dress code, however we advise that football shirts / vests are not appropriate within our hospitality areas. Please feel free to dress up if you wish, especially on ladies day where no one looks out of place in a nice big hat!!
How much does parking cost at Leicester Racecourse?
Parking here at Leicester Racecourse is free of charge and is situated on the main car park at the front of the course. (This is a grassed area CAR PARK A). All Owners & Trainers are directed to the Owners & Trainers car park to the right of the course. (This car park has hard standing CAR PARK C). They also have an overspill car park B for very busy days. All parking on these car parks is FREE of charge.
There is also a Park & View Picnic car park which is available only on our two family days, availability is on a 'First Come First Served' basis and is accessible for a small charge, currently £5.00 per car, all adult occupants must purchase an admission ticket also.
Does Leicester Racecourse take cash?
You can use cash to bet and to purchase racecards, however all food and drink outlets are now card only. Please note there is no cash machine on site.
