The Racecourses at Newmarket
A day out at Newmarket races is special – this is the true home of the sport of kings and there are two fantastic racecourses to choose from depending on the timing of your visit.
The Rowley Mile Course is the grand stage – host to some of the best racing in the world during the spring and autumn months, whilst the July course is a heart stirring place of pure English countryside, garden party atmosphere and top entertainment at the height of summer.
Set in stunning Suffolk countryside yet only 60 miles from London, Newmarket has been home to horseracing since the 17th century when it staged the first ever official race, the Town Plate. Now as the site of the world’s largest training grounds, the base for numerous racing organisations, trainers and jockeys and where more racehorses are bred, stabled and trained than anywhere else in the world, Newmarket is undoubtedly The Home of Horseracing.
The Rowley Mile Racecourse at Newmarket
The Rowley Mile is host to some of the best racing in then world. At the forefront are two classics - The 1000 and 2000 Guineas which both feature in May.
With the three day Cambridgeshire Meeting taking place in late September, featuring the Cheveley Park and Shadwell Middle Park Stakes and the superlative Cambridgeshire Handicap itself - a cavalry charge of over 30 horses in a fiercely competitive handicap up the famous Rowley Mile track.

The Rowley Mile Course offers a great range of Hospitality options available between April & May then from September to November, which include:
The Milennium Grandstand Private Boxes are superbly appointed and range in capacity from 10 to 40 guests, with a great choice of packages these boxes are ideal for corporate entertaining or family celebrations. The Champions Gallery Restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Milennium Grandstand and with a choice of packages and private tables for between 2 and 12 guests is ideal for smaller parties. Set in the centre of the course and directly opposite the winning post Dine & View Trackside is only available during the Guineas Festival. Chez Roux is only available for the Guineas Festival and uses the Champions Gallery Restaurant for this great experience.

The July Racecourse at Newmarket
The July Course resides alongside the National Stud on the approach to the town and is home to all Newmarket’s summer race meetings.
The July course provides the perfect setting for a fantastic day’s racing or the ever popular Newmarket Nights Music events, thanks to its unique rustic charm. Open air bars, the sun dappling through the trees and the thatched roofed buildings make up the character of this distinctive and much loved course.

The July Course offers a great range of Hospitality options available between June and August, which include:
Situated in the Aphrodite Enclosure the Private marquees are superbly appointed facilities with their own private decking area and require a minimum of 26 guests. The Aphrodite Enclosure Restaurant Marquee provides the same fabulous facility as a Private Marquee but on a shared basis with private tables guaranteed for a minimum of 8 guests and smaller parties sharing a table. Just for the July Festival the Moet and Chandon Dining Experience is situated in the Aphrodite enclosure and adds a touch of luxury to the event. The Summer House Restaurant, sited at the heart of the Premier Enclosure has Private tables for 2 to 12 guests with the racing action just a short stroll away.
