Royal Windsor is set within 165 acres of lush green Berkshire countryside on the banks of the River Thames. Overlooked by the historic Windsor Castle, the first horse race at Windsor was held on the spot in 1866, but the area has had links to the sport since the time of King Henry VIII. Royal Windsor is the country’s only flat figure-of-eight Racecourse with an incredible five furlong final straight.

Ideally located for many of the UK’s major cities and international airports, the venue is within easy reach of the M4 and M25. With its own private jetty, guests can even arrive by boat!

A: Yes, there are cash machines to the rear of the Royal Windsor Grandstand, in the conservatory entrance of the Heidsieck Club Grandstand and in the Silver Ring Restaurant.
Q: Is there a Dress Code at Windsor Races?
A: Many people like to dress up for a day at the races, especially if it is a special occasion. The atmosphere at Royal Windsor Racecourse is summer garden party, fun, vibrant and relaxed, which is reflected in our dress code, detailed below. In the Heidsieck Club Enclosure & Restaurants, racegoers are encouraged to wear smart attire, a jacket or tie is not essential for gentlemen, although we do ask that you wear a collared shirt. Ladies are asked to dress smartly although a hat is not essential. Smart jeans are permitted but should not be ripped or torn, as are tailored shorts. Fancy dress, t-shirts, sports attire and trainers are not permitted in the Heidseick Club Enclosure.
