      Chepstow Racecourse: Home of the Welsh Grand National

      Cheltenham Festival Hospitality

      Set in the scenic Wye Valley on the Welsh border, Chepstow is the home of jump racing in Wales and stages both flat and National Hunt fixtures throughout the year. Its centrepiece event is the Coral Welsh Grand National, held on 27 December — a gruelling three and three-quarter mile steeplechase first run at Chepstow in 1949. Past winners including Native River and Synchronised have gone on to Cheltenham Gold Cup glory. The wide, galloping left-handed track, dramatic riverside setting and festive atmosphere make Welsh Grand National Day one of the most anticipated fixtures on the annual jump racing calendar.
