      Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse: Wales's Northern Jump Venue

      Cheltenham Festival Hospitality

      Established in 1859, Bangor-on-Dee is the only racecourse in north Wales and one of the most characterful venues in British racing. It is notably the only racecourse in Britain without a grandstand, giving it an open, informal feel that racegoers love — though an umbrella is always advisable. The left-handed, triangular track is tight and technical, rewarding agile horses, and attracts runners from many of the sport’s leading yards. Around 15 National Hunt fixtures are staged throughout the year, with racing set against a stunning backdrop of the Welsh hills.
